Neowinは5月13日(現地時間)、「A Windows, Mac Excel feature is being removed as it's too expensive for Microsoft to afford - Neowin」において、MicrosoftがExcelの組織データ型(Organization data types)を廃止すると伝えた。

2020年に導入された組織データ型だが、その使用率の低さと継続的な維持コストの高さが問題となり廃止が決定されたという（参考情報:Connect to your own data with more new data types in Excel | Microsoft 365 Blog）。
